Interview on talk radio tomorrow - my stuff to talk about

Mission
My mission is to celebrate, honor and reconnect women to their feminine source of power and natural state of well-being. It is my life’s work and joy to infuse women with the concept of the Goddess within each of us, reminding all women at any age and stage of their lives of their inherent beauty, womanly wisdom, inner wealth, unique presence and personal gifts they bring to the world.

Teacher and Healer
I have been a student, explorer and practitioner of mind, body and spiritual health for the past 20 years, this is truly my life’s work. My practice embraces and includes a wide range of healing modalities; from wholistic nutrition to herbal medicine; body work and massage therapy, energy work, shamanic healing, transformational breathwork and the ancient art of creating ceremony and ritual for mind, body and spiritual healing.
For the last 9 years, I have focused almost exclusively on women’s health and healing through my work as a Life Coach and Mentor, The Goddess Party and Facilitating classes and workshops for women and girls. Healing our emotional wounds, our physical bodies, connecting to our spiritual well-being and celebrating our authenticity is the essence of my work.

History of my Goddess Awakening, a Legacy of Self-Esteem and Health.
About 20 years ago I found a necklace of a female figure with large breasts, curvy buttocks and round hips. I knew I had to have her, she was so beautiful and such a powerful representation of a woman’s body as beautiful and shapely and healthy, unlike the nymph type figure that was so popular at that time during the 1980’s. (picture Kate Moss and the development of the super models). I had a shapely body and was always trying to lose weight; I even had people constantly telling me that I would be much more beautiful if I were thinner. This can take quite a toll on a girl and woman’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth, which ultimately can lead to depression and disease as we age. The feeling of not being good enough exactly as we are is a woman’s greatest challenge.

I started wearing that necklace at age 21, people would stop me on the street and tell me that it was a symbol of the Goddess (which I didn’t know when I bought her) and through the years I found myself learning more and more about this archetype of the Goddess, her various mythologies and what a powerful symbol of health she can be for women. Now at the age of 41, I embody this essence and share this gift with all who cross my path.
The symbol of this Goddess necklace has inspired my life and my life’s work, and I have felt so blessed because of it.

The Goddess Party
I created the Goddess Party, for my own birthday celebration in 1998, while living in Montreal as a student at The Institute for Natural Health Consulting. My degree is an N.H.C. (Natural Health Consultant). The first Goddess Party was a powerful and positive life changing event for all who attended, and it continues to be for the women who experience this celebration together.
At a Goddess Party, we celebrate the many faces of womanhood, by honoring our mothers, grandmothers and role models as well as ourselves, and explore the many names and stories of the Goddesses from around the globe. This is an invitation to be infused with the beauty we all share, to be nourished with laughter and the joy of each other’s company. We wear Goddess crowns, toast each other as Goddesses, drink herbal elixirs, pick Goddess cards, share stories and pay tribute to each other with beautiful heart-felt blessings.
Women tap into their amazing feminine spirit, inner power and divine beauty in the presence of other women. That is why Bookclubs and Red Hat Societies are so popular these days, it is a way of deepening the bonds of friendship and connection to eachother.

The Goddess Party is part woman’s council, part celebration and part ancient Game we all know how to play.

Celebration and Healing with the Goddess Party
A Goddess Party is a wonderful way to celebrate a bride or a birthday, a blessing way for mother’s to be or a right of passage for a girl or woman at any stage of her life.
The Goddess Party is also a powerful way to support women going through a time of grief, loss, divorce, illness, cancer or any other challenge they may be facing. It is a way for women to know they are not alone, they are amongst sisters and friends who love them on their journey through life.
The Power of Myth
The power of myth is immense, and as we use Goddess mythology as a source of inspiration during the Goddess Party, we discover how these ancient stories still have relevance, mirroring the many aspects of our modern day lives. Issues such as power, love, compassion, betrayal, fear, beauty, competitiveness, addictions, etc. are all an aspect of this type of exploration. These mythological stories are archetypal and relevant to all of today’s women.

Beauty, Well-Being and the Law of Attraction
The movie ‘The Secret’ has brought to light the Universal Law of Attraction. This is a big part of my work with women; the uncovering and discovering of the attractor factor.
What we think, feel and act is what we attract. Through the Goddess Party, workshops and my Life Coaching practice, I help connect women to a greater sense of their self-worth, to the essence of their deserve-ability, their inherent beauty and the power within them to attract and create the lives they want. Within this work we turn the flashlight on and point it to the shadow aspects we have within ourselves that hold us back from our source of abundance and natural state of well-being. As we sit in our circles or even one to one in my coaching practice, women begin to tune in to their stories and histories and start discovering new ways to think of themselves and act upon their lives.

A big way to connect to our attract-ability is in honoring our beauty. Beauty is truth, truth beauty. Health is beauty. Beauty is abundant all around us. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you see beauty you are beauty. Beauty is on the inside etc. All these statements are true and all women are beautiful. Reconnecting to our inner source of beauty, which is connected to our inner source of wellness, which is our natural state of being, which is connected to all of life and life is abundant and beautiful, we are life and we are beauty embodied. This is a radical new way of thinking for many, but this new way is the way to more personal power, love, wellness and abundance.

Connecting to your own personal form of beauty can be inspired in different ways. Eating for beauty with whole foods, anointing the Goddess you are with fragrance and oils, drinking healing and aromatic teas and my favorite taking BEAUTY WALKS.

The Beauty Walk
The beauty walk is an inspired action of drinking in the beauty and abundance of all life around you. It is a sensual, spiritual form of exercise and a way to enhance your overall beauty and sense of well-being.

 Update with Spring - Newsletter

Hello Beautiful Goddesses, friends and family.

Spring is here and the time of new beginnings has arrived for us all.

I want to share with you how my work has grown and evolved in the last
year and invite you to partake and explore you own growth with the
coming Spring.

I continue to run my Goddess parties, sharing the power and beauty of
this experience with women from the East to West coasts, changing
lives, inspiring growth, reminding them of their health and beauty as
women. Honoring birthdays, brides, bookclubs, healing circles and
women's groups. It is glorious work that I love to do.

I also continue my work as a life coach, Natural Health Consultant and
Mentor for women and girls.

Since November, I have steered this work more towards girls ages 12
and over with the Girls and Goddesses Parties, and also coaching and
mentoring for young women.

The mentoring work I do with girls is about building self-esteem and
teaching them techniques to remember their uniqueness, their power,
their confidence and their love for themselves. I support girls (and
women) in understanding and identifying their emotions, offer guidance
to making healthy choices and setting goals. It is part coach, part
mentor and big sister all combined together. This is beautiful,
powerful and necessary work to support our young girls through the
chaotic and challenging years of puberty and young adulthood. As you
may know, they are at a critical crossroads in their teenage years,
and many of our girls are getting lost along the path. I have been
talking to Girls Inc and hope to be collaborating with them in the
near future.
If you know of parents that may be looking for this type of support
with their daughters please feel free to send them my information. I
would be happy to talk to them and offer a consultation as a gift from
you.

I am involved in three book collaborations with other coaches, and I
am about to record a cd on my "Beauty Walks".
The Beauty Walk is an inspired action of beauty and walking that fills
the spirit and exercises the body. It is a combination of exercise,
aromatherapy, color therapy, prayer and breathing in the beauty around us. I
created this for myself, it is so magical and too good not to share. I have
inspired so many women with this technique, because I am so inspired
by it myself. I constantly tell people that this is the greatest
thing I do in my life and it is. I would love to share this with you.

I have been giving wonderful public talks on the beauty and healing
powers of aromatic herbal teas and eating for beauty. Combining the
health giving properties of tea with the sensual experience of
fragrance. I have been written up in my local newspapers a few times,
but more importantly, the women leave these talks feeling
so good and inspired that my phone rings for days afterwards with their
wonderful thank yous. This is such a fun talk because we taste teas
and have a totally interactive experience together.
If you are interested in doing an evening like this in your home with
your friends or know of a venue that would be interested in offering
such a class, let me know. The pleasure is in the palette and it is
soooooo much fun!

In April and May I will be facilitating a six week class on the Law of
Attraction, inspired by the movie "the secret". Cornerstone Bookstore
in Salem has asked me to come and lead this series, because they
received so much interest in the book and great reviews from the
Goddess Party I held there in January. I am really looking forward to
it.

Also, I have been writing articles for the Boston Women's Journal
since last May and have been loving being a part of that journals
growth, as well as spreading my wings as a writer. Most of the topics
cover all this work that I have shared above and I am very proud of
the way I am growing with my own creativity.

I am also laying the Groundwork for the "God Party", it's very
exciting, I get goosebumps and heart palpitations everytime I focus on
it. Hopefully coming soon, sometime in 2008.

So there you have it, where I have been and am going. I hope you are
well. I would love to re-connect and share any and all of the above
with you, your friends and families. There is so much inspiration,
growth and love to be had by every element of this work. It is a gift
and a blessing I continue to be grateful for.

Beautiful Blessings of Springtime to you.
